It’s all laid out, so you can just upload your kid’s book art and add it to the sheet in Canva (free web software!), then print out PDFs of these story cube sheets for kids to make.
You can also easily email the PDF files to bookstores or use it as an online downloadable promotion.

But What Can I Do With A Story Cube?
Once it’s been cut and pasted, have the kids roll it and then try to recall the part of the story that matches the image that comes up.
Have kids tell the story by using the cube, see if they can do it in order.
Let kids roll the cube and make up a new story using the pictures that come up.
Print out a blank copy of the cube and have the kids draw their own pictures to go with the story!
There are probably many fun ideas you can come up with for this story cube, especially when you consider your specific story and characters! Feel free to share yours in the comments.

Need A Hand With Canva?
Never used Canva? No problem! Check out my visual instructions below:
STEP #1 - When you click on the link above, it will take you to the Canva website. If you don’t have an account yet, it will prompt you to sign up. You can choose the FREE account—you don’t need to get a subscription.
This is what it will look like when the document is open:

STEP #2 - Upload the artwork. Click on the ‘uploads’ button on the left hand sidebar. Upload your artwork from your computer. Don’t worry about cropping it or anything before uploading it, you can resize it in the file.

STEP #3 - Place the artwork. Drag the uploaded artwork from the left hand side onto the document and hover over the square you want it to be placed inside. Canva will automatically place it there for you.

STEP #5 - Edit the images to fit. If you want a certain, smaller part of the picture to be centered in the square, then zoom in on it by double clicking on the placed image and then using the selection corners to drag it out.

STEP #6 - Download to print! Click on the ‘share’ button on the top right and select PDF. Then you can print it out and photo copy it.
